Basketball Recap: Morgan County Comes Up Short

Morgan County lost against Betsy Layne back in December of 2019 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Morgan County Cougars fell 74-63 to the Betsy Layne Bobcats. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Morgan County's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Betsy Layne, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Morgan County will face off against East Carter at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Betsy Layne, they will venture away from home to take on Prestonsburg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Betsy Layne knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 17 games -- so hopefully Prestonsburg likes a good challenge.
