Basketball Game Preview: Cate Rams vs. Providence Patriots

The Cate Rams just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Providence Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cate has given up an average of 59.5 points per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Monday, Cate came up short against St. Bonaventure and fell 60-47. The Rams have struggled against the Seraphs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Providence had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 38.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They strolled past the Oaks with points to spare, taking the game 55-40.

The victory got Providence back to even at 7-7. As for Cate, their loss dropped their record down to 4-13.

Everything went Cate's way against Providence when the teams last played back in February of 2025, as Cate made off with a 60-39 win. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Patriots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
