Loganville scored a stunning upset when it knocked off Gainesville, 46-41. At the time, the Red Elephants were ranked 17th in the state, while the Red Devils were 269th.
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Loganville, who took down 17th ranked Gainesville, 46-41.
Cedar Shoals' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Jaguars feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Darius Jordan has thrown for 645 yards and six touchdowns this season, while Chris Middlebrooks has 23 catches for 419 yards. Adrian Washington leads the league in rushing with 916 yards.
Cedar Shoals's Washington needs only 84 yards against Clarke Central next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season.
Two highly touted recruits will be in the spotlight when Flowery Branch and the Red Elephants meet this week. The Falcons features well-regarded senior Darius Curry while Gainesville has Deshaun Watson, a sought after junior.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Flowery Branch takes on the Red Elephants. The Falcons are currently in third, while Gainesville is in second.
The Red Devils moved up to 239 from 269 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Loganville was able to make move up by beating the Red Elephants 46-41.
