Volleyball Recap: Kewaskum Indians vs. Grafton Black Hawks
Kewaskum was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Grafton Black Hawks. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Black Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.
Alayna Lambrecht paced Kewaskum's offense, picking up ten kills. Lambrecht got some help from Milli Kreif and her 22 assists.
Grafton was led to victory by Abigail Barthelemy and Paige Arentz. Barthelemy had 13 digs and four aces, while Arentz had five digs and two aces. That's the most digs Arentz has posted over her last six matches. Abigail Marti also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.
Kewaskum's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Grafton, they pushed their record up to 15-5 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.
Kewaskum has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Beaver Dam on the 20th. As for Grafton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against New Berlin Eisenhower on the 20th.
