Soccer Recap: Millennium Comes Up Short

Millennium and Fairfax combined for 12 shots on goal on Thursday, which explains the impressive seven total goals scored. The Millennium Tigers fell just short of the Fairfax Stampede by a score of 4-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2019.

They hit Fairfax with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Samuel Meadows, Landon Vree, and Breydan Lawrence.

Millennium is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5-1. As for Fairfax, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-2-1.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Millennium challenge the Alhambra at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Millennium is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.1 goals per game this season. As for Fairfax, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-0 victory against Odyssey Institute on the 3rd.
