Basketball Game Preview: Oklahoma City S Storm vs. Edmond Santa Fe Wolves

Oklahoma City S is 0-3 against Edmond Santa Fe since January of 2016 but things could change on Thursday. The Storm will be taking part in a tournament against the Wolves at 7:00 p.m. Oklahoma City S has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

On Tuesday, Oklahoma City S was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 72-71 to Sunrise Christian Academy. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Monday (57), the Storm still had to take the loss.

Despite their loss, Oklahoma City S saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Tagen Winn, who almost dropped a double-double with 23 points and nine rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Winn continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Rex Rowland, who shot 43% from the field to rack up 17 points.

Meanwhile, Edmond Santa Fe unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of Putnam City North by a score of 71-69 on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Wolves in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost six in a row.

Oklahoma City S' loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Edmond Santa Fe, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Oklahoma City S ended up a good deal behind Edmond Santa Fe in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, losing 60-43. Can the Storm avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
