Calipatria wouldn't let Desert Mirage keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force four fumbles. Bernard Thomas led the group effort, picking up two of those forced fumbles all by himself. Rihann Potter's also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing a fumble and making a tackle.

Meanwhile, O'Farrell Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They were dealt a 36-6 loss at the hands of Victory Christian Academy.

The victory made it two in a row for Calipatria and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for O'Farrell Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Everything went Calipatria's way against O'Farrell Charter when the teams last played back in September of 2023 as Calipatria made off with a 34-12 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Calipatria since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
