Softball Preview: Edison Vikings vs. Franklin Yellowjackets
Edison is a perfect 10-0 against Franklin since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Vikings will welcome the Yellowjackets at 4:00 p.m. Edison is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.
Edison will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating Stagg, who they had gone 1-7-1 against in their nine prior meetings. The Vikings walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Delta Kings on Monday. The game was the first time the Vikings have beaten the Delta Kings on their field since April 28, 2022.

On the hitting side, Leila Tatupu was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Mariah Torres was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Meanwhile, Franklin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They lost 16-3 to Chavez.
Edison has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-14 record this season.
