Basketball Recap: Broadwater Academy Takes a Loss

Broadwater Academy lost against Hampton Christian Academy back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Broadwater Academy Vikings were beaten by the Hampton Christian Academy Warriors 91-32. The Vikings were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 66-20.

Despite the loss, Broadwater Academy had strong showings from Noah Pruitt, who posted 13 points, and Teddy Seybolt, who earned six points. That was a full 40.6% of Broadwater Academy's points, marking the third time in a row he's had more than a third of the team's points.

Hampton Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Asher Joyce, who put up 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Harris, who posted 17 points.

Broadwater Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Hampton Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.

Broadwater Academy will welcome Greenbrier Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hampton Christian Academy, they will venture away from home to face off against StoneBridge at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
