Basketball Recap: Nogales Snags Tenth Victory in Last 12 Games

There's no place like home for Nogales, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against the Pueblo Warriors by a score of 50-40 on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Apaches: when they faced off against the Warriors back in January, they had to take a 41-26 loss.

Pueblo's loss came despite strong showings from Brooklyn Espinoza and Asia Clark. Espinoza dropped a double-double with ten points and 21 boards, while Clark posted 13 points and three steals. Clark is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last six games she's played. Celine Lopez was another key player, putting up four points and eight rebounds.

Nogales is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points over those games. As for Pueblo, their record is now 22-4.

As of now, neither Nogales nor Pueblo have any future games scheduled.
