West Monroe entered their tilt with Pineville on Thursday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against Pineville. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-0 last Wednesday.

Bradyn Cupit spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up 12 Ks. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Zach Simpson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Starr, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

West Monroe's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-5-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Pineville, they now have a losing record of 11-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Monroe will face off against Ouachita Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pineville, they will square off against Lacassine at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Lacassine will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Pineville surely won't give up without a fight.
