Basketball Game Preview: David City Scouts vs. Raymond Central Mustangs

The David City Scouts will take on the Raymond Central Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for David City and five for Raymond Central.

David City is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 57 points on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Milford on Saturday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 48-25. The game marked the Scouts' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Raymond Central suffered their closest defeat since February 6, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of Centennial by a score of 39-36. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 230th, while the Broncos are ranked 78th).

David City's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Raymond Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.

David City strolled past Raymond Central in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a score of 46-32. Does David City have another victory up their sleeve, or will Raymond Central turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
