Softball Recap: Scranton Prep Comes Up Short

Scranton Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 13-1 to the North Pocono Trojans, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, with their most recent loss being a 13-1 defeat on Tuesday.

Scranton Prep's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for North Pocono, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Scranton Prep will venture away from home to challenge Abington Heights at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Cavaliers will need to watch out since the Comets have now posted at least ten runs in their last four contests. As for North Pocono, they will take on West Scranton at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Trojans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Invaders have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
