Lincoln has gone a perfect 9-0 against Preston recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Cougars will head out on the road to square off against the Knights at 6:00 p.m. Lincoln's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Preston's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Lincoln came out on top against Bridgeport on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run seventh inning. The Cougars never let the Indians get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Preston earned an 8-4 win over East Fairmont on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

Rhylinn Sanders spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Myla Wotring was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April. Mckenzie Price was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Lincoln's record is now 18-5. As for Preston, their record now sits at 10-15.

Lincoln beat Preston 8-5 when the teams last played back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
