Basketball Recap: Winfield Comes Up Short

After flying high against Mark Twain last Thursday, Winfield came back down to earth. The Winfield Warriors lost 66-40 to the Warrenton Warriors on Friday. Winfield has struggled against Warrenton recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Winfield's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Warrenton, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 7-9.

Winfield has already played their next contest (against Louisiana), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Warrenton, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 51-47 victory against St. Charles West on the 11th.
