Basketball Recap: Friday's Victory Is Timber Creek's Third in Last Four Outings

Timber Creek won the last time they faced Northwest, and Jillian Topping did her part to make sure it happened again. The Timber Creek Falcons greeted the New Year with with a 50-31 victory over the Northwest Texans thanks in part to Topping, who went 8 of 13 on her way to 22 points. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Lashonda Reeves, who posted seven points and four steals. She has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played.

Timber Creek is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. As for Northwest, they dropped their record down to 10-15 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Timber Creek will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Bell at 5:45 p.m. As for Northwest, they will head out to face off against Keller at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
