It was a good run, but Guernsey-Sunrise unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-match winning streak on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dubois Rams. The Vikings were not able to make up for their loss to the Rams from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Guernsey-Sunrise was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-22.

Their offense was headlined by Emma Stoneking and Kierstyn Collar, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Kamlee Collar and her seven assists. Kierstyn was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Guernsey-Sunrise's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Dubois, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Guernsey-Sunrise wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Midwest on the 10th. As for Dubois, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Niobrara County on the 10th.
