Recap: Hough Huskies vs. Lake Norman Charter Knights
The Hough Huskies waltzed into Tuesday's matchup with two straight wins but they left with three. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 64-18 win over Lake Norman Charter. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-12.
Hough was led to victory by Sophia Zoerb and Abby Law. Zoerb scored 9 points, while Law scored 10 points along with 6 steals. Alexis Otto was another key contributor, scoring 7 points.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Lake Norman Charter struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Hough racked up 15.
Hough has yet to lose a game on the road this season, leaving them with a 3-0 record. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Lake Norman Charter, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Hough will be playing in front of their home fans against Cox Mill at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Cox Mill focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 last Wednesday. As for Lake Norman Charter, they will head out on the road to face off against West Rowan at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
