Soccer Game Preview: Othello vs. Toppenish

Othello is 0-6 against Toppenish since April of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Huskies will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Both teams beat their previous opponents by a single goal, so this matchup might be just as contested.

Othello took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Ephrata, sneaking past 2-1.

Meanwhile, Toppenish had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They never let the Red Devils get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. The win was all the more spectacular given Toppenish's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 85th, while East Valley are ranked 31st).

Toppenish's victory bumped their record up to 6-3-1. As for Othello, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3-1 record this season.
