Recap: Polytechnic Parrots vs. Samuell Spartans
The Polytechnic Parrots had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They pulled ahead with a 23-22 photo finish over Samuell. The victory was just what Polytechnic needed coming off of a 42-18 loss in their prior contest.
Polytechnic was led to victory by Sofia Castro and Lakendra Williams. Castro dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds, while Williams dropped a double-double on 11 points and 21 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Castro has scored at least 25% of Polytechnic's points.
Polytechnic's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Samuell, the last time they won on the road was back last Friday. Having now lost five straight away games, they've bumped their record down to 1-9.
Polytechnic will square off against Keene at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Samuell, they will be playing at home against Seagoville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
