Two dominant guards in Jasmine Nivar and Najiha Allen are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Apex Friendship Patriots will square off against the Overhills Jaguars on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Apex Friendship is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Ashley with a sharp 64-39 victory. The win was nothing new for the Patriots as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Overhills' strategy against Corinth Holders on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Overhills blew Corinth Holders out of the water with a 79-33 final score. With the Jaguars ahead 40-20 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Apex Friendship better keep an eye on Allen. She was instrumental in Overhills' win, to rack up 32 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Allen also grabbed five steals, which is notable because Overhills is 16-2 when she posts at least three steals, but 3-6 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Paris Autry, who en route to 20 points in addition to five assists and four steals.

Overhills is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 18 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.9 points. Apex Friendship's victory was their 13th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-4.
