Volleyball Recap: Mount Juliet Falls to Hendersonville in First Game of Season

Mount Juliet kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hendersonville Commandos. The Golden Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Commandos apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

While Mount Juliet had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-19, 11-25, 25-19.

Hendersonville found their leader in freshman Brooke Armet, who had 18 digs and two aces.

The victory got Hendersonville back to even at 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Mount Juliet will take on rival Green Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Hendersonville is set to square off against their familiar foe Portland at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
