Volleyball Recap: Mount Juliet Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Mount Juliet kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 3-1 to the Hendersonville Commandos. The Golden Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Commandos apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

While Mount Juliet had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-19, 11-25, 25-19.

Despite the loss, Mount Juliet still got an impressive performance from Brookelynn Aldridge, who had 16 digs and one assist. Aldridge has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last five times she's played.

Hendersonville found their leader in freshman Brooke Armet, who had 18 digs and two aces.

The victory got Hendersonville back to even at 1-1.

Mount Juliet wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Green Hill on the 21st. As for Hendersonville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Portland on the 21st.
