Softball Recap: Bowne Wins Going Away Against Forest Hills

Bowne was forced to take a big defeat against they on Thursday, they got the better of them on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Forest Hills Rangers a 17-0 shutout. That looming 17-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Wildcats yet this season.

The victory snapped Bowne's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 3-5 record. As for Forest Hills, they dropped their record down to 2-4 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Bowne will challenge Francis Lewis at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for Forest Hills, they will take on Newtown at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Rangers will need to watch out since the Pioneers have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
