Baseball Recap: Tatnall Sets Scoring Season-High Against Mount Pleasant

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tatnall). They came out on top against the Mount Pleasant Green Knights by a score of 7-3 on Monday. That's more bragging rights for the Hornets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Jacob Glazier spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on six hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Trevor Hosler was incredible, scoring a run and stealing four bases while getting on base in two of his five plate appearances. Those stolen bases were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jonathan Veghte, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Tatnall's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6-1. As for Mount Pleasant, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tatnall will venture away from home to challenge Brandywine at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mount Pleasant, they will head out to take on Odessa at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
