Football Game Preview: Amity Regional Spartans vs. Hillhouse Academics + How To Watch

Amity Regional is 1-6 against Hillhouse since September of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. Hillhouse took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Amity Regional, who comes in off a win.

Amity Regional is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 48-6 victory over Harding. The Spartans have beaten the Presidents the last seven times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Presidents has come to flipping the script.

Cristian Luciano produced another solid performance rushing for 358 yards and five scores while picking up 13.8 yards per carry. Thanks to that big game, he is now up to 12 rushing touchdowns on the season. Another back making a difference was Andrew Dorais, who rushed for 84 yards and one touchdown on only ten carries.

Amity Regional's run defense was locked in: Harding could only muster 3.3 yards per carry. The team can thank Joe Fryer for the heroic effort on defense: he. Amity Regional didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 12.6.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 40 points the game before, Hillhouse was a bit more limited in their matchup two weeks ago. They were beaten by Hamden 47-13. The Academics have struggled against the Green Dragons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Hillhouse saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jakyi Wright picked up 105 receiving yards and one TD.

Hillhouse's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Amity Regional, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
