Baseball Recap: South Florence Bruins vs. Sumter Gamecocks
South Florence proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by 12) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over the Sumter Gamecocks. The win continues a trend for the Bruins in their matchups with the Gamecocks: they've now won five in a row.
Kellin Croshaw looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

At the plate, Khalon McGee was excellent, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Gabe McLaughlin, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
South Florence's record now sits at 2-0. As for Sumter, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
