Baseball Recap: Perry Comes Up Short

Perry's tournament run continued when they took on Highland Park on Friday. The Pumas took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Scots. The Pumas have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Perry got a good showing from Brad Hartung, who pitched four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits.

On the hitting side, Perry saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Devin Dekavallas, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Perry's loss dropped their record down to 0-2-1. As for Highland Park, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Perry will take on Dallas Jesuit in a tournament on Friday. As for Highland Park, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Celina at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
