Volleyball Recap: Willard's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Willard had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Eldon Mustangs. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

While Willard won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-17.

Taylor Roweton paced Willard's offense, picking up 11 kills. Roweton got some help from Abby Morris and her 15 assists. Ava Simpson controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Willard's win bumped their record up to 12-5-2. As for Eldon, their loss ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 8-7.

Coincidentally, Willard and Eldon will both be playing Carthage the next time they take the court. The Mustangs will head out to face the Tigers at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Tigers will play them later in the day, at 10:00 a.m.
