It was fun while it lasted, but Glendale Adventist's undefeated season came to an end after nine games on Monday. They came up short against the Village Christian Crusaders, falling 3-0. The match marked the first time this season in which the Cougars were not able to get on the board.

While Glendale Adventist ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-17, 25-23.

Among those leading the charge was RJ Nunez, who had 19 digs. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in digs.

Having lost for the first time this season, Glendale Adventist fell to 9-1. As for Village Christian, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 3-6 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glendale Adventist will face off against Redlands Adventist Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Village Christian, they will square off against Canyon at 5:15 p.m. on March 11th.
