Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Timpanogos

Timpanogos had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Everything went their way against the Parowan Rams as they made off with an 18-8 victory. That's two games straight that the Timberwolves have won by exactly ten runs.

Shaylie Lang made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed two innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Lang was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kaydance Pope, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kale'a Nakayama, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.

Timpanogos always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Timpanogos' win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Parowan, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Coming up, Timpanogos will challenge Green Valley at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Green Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.8 runs per game this season. As for Parowan, they will take on Delta in a tournament on Saturday.
