Football Game Preview: Verona Wildcats vs. Middleton Cardinals + How To Watch

The Verona Wildcats will venture away from home to square off against the Middleton Cardinals at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Verona 13.8, Middleton 11.6) so any points scored will be well earned.

Verona is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Madison La Follette 54-21 on Friday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Wildcats with their most commanding win of the season.

Verona can attribute much of their success to Jackson Connor, who picked up 106 receiving yards and one score.

Meanwhile, while Middleton put up some points on Friday, the same can't be said for Janesville Parker. The Cardinals walked away with a 13-0 win over the Vikings. The victory continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won seven in a row.

Verona now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Middleton, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Verona strolled past Middleton in their previous meeting back in September of 2024 by a score of 21-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
