Football Recap: Water Valley Blue Devils vs. Saltillo Tigers
After flying high against J.Z. George last Friday, Water Valley came back down to earth. The Water Valley Blue Devils were outmatched by the Saltillo Tigers at home and fell 55-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Blue Devils were not able to get on the board.
Water Valley wouldn't let Saltillo keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Water Valley can thank Kemauri Page and Zy'Kari Shaw for forcing both of them.
Water Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Saltillo, their win bumped their record up to an identical 2-4.
Water Valley has the luxury of staying home for another week and will welcome Biggersville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Saltillo, they will face off against South Panola at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South Panola will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Saltillo surely won't give up without a fight.
