Basketball Game Preview: Highland Hornets vs. Spur Bulldogs

Highland is on a six-game streak of home losses also dating back to last season, Spur a four-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season, but someone's luck is about to change on Tuesday. The Highland Hornets will take on the Spur Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Highland saw some tournament action on Saturday. They came up short against Eden, falling 48-28.

Meanwhile, Spur played a tough contest on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Hermleigh and fell 43-15. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-8.

Highland's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Spur, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Highland was able to grind out a solid win over Spur in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, winning 37-25. Will Highland repeat their success, or does Spur have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
