Basketball Recap: Humboldt Comes Up Short

Humboldt lost against Middleton back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Humboldt Vikings took a 43-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Middleton Tigers. The Vikings were down 34-10 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Middleton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kemora Buggs led the charge by putting up 13 points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Ro'Naia Talley, who posted seven points and ten rebounds.

Humboldt's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Middleton, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 18-4.

Humboldt does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Middleton, they will challenge Clarksburg at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
