Baseball Recap: Da Vinci Comes Up Short

Da Vinci lost against Cathedral last Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Da Vinci Dragons fell just short of the Cathedral Fighting Irish by a score of 2-1. The Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Da Vinci's loss dropped their record down to 4-9-1. As for Cathedral, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5-1 record this season.

Da Vinci will take on Clovis at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Clovis will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. As for Cathedral, they will challenge Chaparral at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cathedral's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Chaparral's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
