Basketball Game Preview: Bucyrus Redmen vs. Wynford Royals

Bucyrus is 2-8 against Wynford since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Bucyrus Redmen will venture away from home to take on the Wynford Royals at 6:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Bucyrus is headed into Saturday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Thursday. They were outmatched by Colonel Crawford and fell 73-42. While losing is never fun, the Redmen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 806th, while the Eagles are ranked 99th).

Meanwhile, Wynford ended up a good deal behind Carey on Thursday and lost 66-51.

Wynford has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-14 record this season. As for Bucyrus, their loss dropped their record down to 1-16.

Bucyrus came up short against Wynford in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 66-56. Can Bucyrus avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
