Baseball Recap: Miamisburg Takes a Loss

Miamisburg couldn't beat Springboro on Friday even though they stacked four runs on them in the sixth inning. The Vikings came up short against the Panthers, falling 12-5. The loss continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost five in a row.

Miamisburg saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Craiglow, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double was Craiglow's first of the season.

Miamisburg's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Springboro, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-4.

Coming up, Miamisburg will challenge Lebanon at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Springboro will be paying especially close attention to the Vikings' contest: after the Vikings face off against the Warriors, they'll take on Springboro again at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
