Brawley takes loss despite strong efforts from Joaquin Lofton and Domanic Vallejo

Recap: Brawley Wildcats vs. Vincent Memorial Scots
The Brawley Wildcats were the 52-44 winner over the Vincent Memorial Scots when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Brawley opened the new year with a less-than-successful 55-47 defeat to Vincent Memorial. Brawley has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Domanic Vallejo and Joaquin Lofton certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss. Vallejo scored 16 points along with three steals, while Lofton scored 16 points. The contest was Vallejo's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Austin Flores was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Brawley now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Vincent Memorial, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-5.
Brawley will take on Palo Verde Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Vincent Memorial won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Holtville at 7:00 p.m. on January 4th. Holtville is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
