Football Game Preview: Bishop Gorman Crusaders vs. Geneva Eagles

The Bishop Gorman Crusaders will face off against the Geneva Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Friday, Bishop Gorman came up short against McKinney Christian Academy and fell 24-12. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Although Bishop Gorman took the loss, they still got scores from Carlin Ifeadi and Henry Mebane.

Bishop Gorman didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ifeadi and Mebane.

Meanwhile, Geneva had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They blew past the Centurions 69-0. That looming 69-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Eagles yet this season.

Bishop Gorman better keep an eye on Shae McNew. He was instrumental in Geneva's win, rushing for 152 yards and a pair of scores. McNew really tore up the turf during one magnificent 73-yard run. Another player making a difference was Asher Shindler, who rushed for 102 yards and one TD on only six carries.

Geneva was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 347 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.

Bishop Gorman's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Geneva, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.
