Football Recap: Douglas Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Douglas lost against Geraldine back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eagles received a blow as they fell 42-25 to the Bulldogs. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Baker Lyles threw for 64 yards on five of nine attempts. Treiy Crenshaw was his top target, picking up 55 receiving yards.

Jon Beck Wade had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 164 yards and one TD, while also throwing for 97 yards and three touchdowns on only six passes for Geraldine. Those three passing touchdowns gave Beck Wade a new career-high.

Douglas' loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Geraldine, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-1.

Douglas does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Geraldine, they will face off against Rogers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will be up against the Pirates' rather soft defense (which has allowed 31.6 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
