Soccer Recap: Johnson Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Johnson duked it out withDripping Springs on Friday. The Johnson Jaguars fell 3-1 to the Dripping Springs Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 520th, while the Tigers are ranked 247th).

Johnson is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5. As for Dripping Springs, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-3-1.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Akins the next time they take the pitch. Johnson will host Akins at 7:20 p.m. on Wednesday, while Dripping Springs will host them at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th.
