Volleyball Recap: Centaurus Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Centaurus was the 3-0 winner over Monarch when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors fell 3-1 to the Coyotes on Thursday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-15, 22-25, 25-23, 25-16.

Violet Morrandez paced Centaurus' offense, picking up 13 kills. Morrandez got some help from Mila Weinstein and her 22 assists. Sophie Lamprecht and Gracin Cutforth kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Centaurus' defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Monarch, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

Centaurus wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Castle View on the 1st. Monarch does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
