After flying high against Cathedral Catholic on Wednesday, Torrey Pines came back down to earth. The Falcons took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sierra Canyon Trailblazers on Friday. The Falcons' defeat signaled the end of their 12-game winning streak.

The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 24-26, 25-16, 25-14.

Finley Krystkowiak paced Torrey Pines' offense, picking up 15 kills. Krystkowiak got some help from Emery Gonzales and her 31 assists. Parker Herrin controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Torrey Pines' loss dropped their record down to 13-2. As for Sierra Canyon, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season.

Torrey Pines didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Mater Dei on the 16th. As for Sierra Canyon, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Cathedral Catholic on the 13th.
