After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Elizabeth, Plainview was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They skirted past the Marksville Tigers 5-3. The Hornets' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Caleb Calhoun was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits.
