Baseball Recap: Palisade Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

While Palisade's win against Durango wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bulldogs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over the Demons on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Bulldogs sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Easton Embrey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on two hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Dylon Larson, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Kian Kinslow was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

Palisade hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive matchups.

Palisade's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-8. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8 runs. As for Durango, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-7.
