It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Hamilton had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top against the Mountain View Toros by a score of 35-27. The Huskies' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hamilton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jacob Brown, who rushed for 136 yards and a pair of touchdowns. That's the most rushing yards Brown has posted since back in November of 2024. Roye Oliver III did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 145 receiving yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Hamilton was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 290 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 207 rushing yards in three consecutive games.

Mountain View lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Brady Goodman, who threw for 285 yards and four TDs, and also rushed for 47 yards. His passing game has become a key predictor of Mountain View's success: the team is 4-1 when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 3-4 otherwise. Talan Arnett was Goodman's top target, picking up 118 receiving yards and three scores.

Hamilton's victory bumped their record up to 11-0. As for Mountain View, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-5.

Looking ahead, Hamilton will face off against Chandler at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 996 yards in their previous games. Mountain View does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
