Baseball Recap: Scranton Find Success

The Scranton Knights beat the Port Jervis Red Raiders 6-1 on Tuesday.

Colin Rafferty looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Connor Thomas was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run. John Montoro was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Scranton's win bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Port Jervis, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 7-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Scranton will venture away from home to face off against West Scranton at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Port Jervis, they will take on Sullivan West in a tournament on Saturday.
