Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Bourne walked away with it. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Rockland Bulldogs on Wednesday. The win was familiar territory for the Canalmen, who have now won seven matchups in a row.

In the three sets Bourne was on fire: they won each by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 14-25, 25-15, 25-8.

Avery Morrill had an outrageously good game as she had 13 digs and four aces. That's the most digs she has posted over her last six matches.

Morrill wasn't the only good servers: Bourne was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 25 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 11 consecutive contests.

Bourne's record now sits at 20-3. As for Rockland, they moved to 20-5 with that defeat, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

As of now, neither Bourne nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
