With a playoff win on the line, Heritage rose to the challenge  on Tuesday. They blew past the Dougherty Valley Wildcats 9-2. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by seven  runs or more this season.
 Meadow Wachtel was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI. Those  two  RBI gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Vivien Spomer, who  went 3-for-4 with one  run and one  RBI.
 Heritage was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .429. That's the best  batting average they've posted all season.
Heritage's record now sits at 14-10-1. As for Dougherty Valley, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record  this season.
 Heritage will square off against Maria Carrillo at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Patriots' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pumas have averaged an impressive 8.5  runs per game this season. Dougherty Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
